The University College is committed to offering support, opportunities and facilities to both organisations and individuals in the local community, and to businesses, NGOs and public services nationally and internationally.
At St Mary’s we have been working with business and the community flexibly for many years and we welcome organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to work with us.
The government’s new framework for the future success of higher education encourages businesses to be more active partners with universities, and we are committed to working with organisations through:

- Flexible delivery to allow employees to study at St Mary’s
- Tailor made programmes to fit employers’ needs
- Student work placements and projects
- Research and consultancy by academic staff
- Training advice and delivery
The Centre for Workplace and Community Health can provide support to any organisation to improve its efficiency through improving the health of its members.
The Centre for Workplace Learning can facilitate employers and students to work together, through student work placements, providing benefits to both parties.
