Centre for Health, Applied Sport and Exercise Science (CHASES)
Based within the School of Sport, Health and Applied Science, CHASES is a centre of exellence for applied sport and exercise science and medicine, operating as an applied research unit and a service provider.
Our Services / Areas of Expertise
CHASES services are delivered through The St Mary’s Clinic on campus and outreach. We welcome any individuals or teams from those starting sport or exercise for the first time through to those aiming for Olympic Gold.
We have access to state of the art facilities including a biomechanics laboratory, three physiology laboratories (one with the capacity to simulate high altitude), a nutrition laboratory / teaching kitchen, extensive strength and conditioning suite and rehabilitation gym, consultation rooms as well as a host of other indoor and outdoor Sports Facilities.
