Exercise in the workplace

Who are we?

The Centre for Workplace and Community Health (CWCH) was established in the School of Sport, Health and Applied Science at St Mary’s in January 2005. The centre comprises a number of staff with expertise in psychology, nutrition, public health issues and other knowledge relevant to specific projects.

We strive to create healthier businesses and healthier working communities, using
sustainable, practical and cost effective approaches. We draw upon our academic
background to act as a knowledge transfer unit, working with the private and public sector and policy makers.

CWCH is a centre of excellence and innovation – our focus is on the design, delivery and research of workplace health solutions and training.

What do we do?

We offer workplace health training, consultancy and project delivery, including bespoke solutions and RSPH level 1 and level 2 training. We also offer practice-based learning opportunities for for St Mary’s undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as coordinating research projects.
