Tower Hamlets – Healthy Workplaces Accreditation Programme

The Centre for Workplace and Community Health (CWPH) has been commissioned to deliver the Healthy Workplace Project in Tower Hamlets. We are looking for 10 workplaces in Tower Hamlets to participate in an exciting and innovative programme to improve the health and wellbeing of their employees during 2010-11. This opportunity is open to small, medium and large organisations from a range of sectors. The project aims to work with businesses which reflect the diversity of Tower Hamlets.

Organisations will be provided with a menu of healthy opportunities to skill up employees and to best meet the needs of their business. The options are designed to ensure the project is flexible to the differing needs of businesses depending on size, location and resources.
The menu of opportunities will include:

• A 1-day workshop providing an introduction to workplace health and the accreditation scheme
• Employee health needs assessment tool
• A 1-day intervention exhibition
• Outreach visits and networking support
• Accredited ‘Understanding Health Improvement’ training course
• Online, telephone and email support
• Resources - walking challenge wall planners
• Mentoring Scheme
• Graduation event
