Achievements of EPC athletes

Highlights from 2023

The EPC has a proud history of helping to develop and support athletes from those achieving honours at university-level right through to elite-level athletes competing on the international stage. 

  • Joe Wigfield finished third in the BUCS Cross Country Championships A race and sixth in the World Cross Country Championships.

  • St Mary's Women's B Team achieved third in the BUCS Cross Country Championships short race.

  • Charlotte Purdue ran 2:22:17 in the Berlin Marathon moving to third on the British all-time list.

  • Beth Potter became the World Triathlon Champion and won the Paris 2024 triathlon test event.
  • Adelle Tracey achieved seventh in the World Championships 800m final, and was semi-finalist in the 1500m with 3:58.77 a Jamaican national record.

  • Elliot Giles represented Team GB at the World Championships and ran 1500m in 3:30.92 at the London Diamond League meeting to go ninth on the British all-time list.
