We will consider qualifications from any country and measure them against British equivalents. |
What level of English do I need? |
Undergraduate Students
The requirements for undergraduate students whose first language is not English are normally one of the following:
- IELTS (academic) 6.0 overall with not less than 5.5 in any section
- TOEFL minimum 550 on paper-based and 213 on computer-based
- Internet-based TOEFL score of 80 overall and 24 in writing
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- Cambridge Certificate Proficiency (CPE)
- GCSE English grade C or above
- (PTE Academic)
- Test of English for Educational Purposes (TEEP) at 6.0
- Pearson Test of English Academic minimum score of 51
- Trinity College Level 2 Certificate in ESOL Skills for life
- Trinity College Integrated Skills in English (ISEIII and ISEIV only)
Postgraduate Students
The requirements for postgraduate students whose first language is not English are normally one of the following:
- IELTS (academic) 6.5 overall with not less than 6.0 in any section
- TOEFL minimum 575 on paper-based and 232 on computer-based
- Test of English for Educational Purposes (TEEP) at 6.5
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
- GCSE English grade C or above
- (PTE Academic)
- Internet-based TOEFL score of 88 overall and 26 in writing
- Pearson Test of English Academic minimum score of 58
- Trinity College Level 2 Certificate in ESOL Skills for life
- Trinity College Integrated Skills in English (ISEIII and ISEIV only)
