Through the Erasmus programme it is possible to get a grant from the European Union (in addition to your normal student funding) in order to study at St Mary's for a semester.
If you choose to participate in the programme your fees are paid as normal to your university and no additional fee is be charged. However, students are expected to pay for their living costs and accommodation while on exchange
All courses at St Mary's are taught in English. One thing to bear in mind about Erasmus exchanges is that they are set up on a departmental or academic school / faculty basis. Please see our list of partner universities below for details of programmes that have links.
If you are studying one of the courses that have Erasmus links with St Mary's, talk to your Programme Director/Course Leader for more information.
These exchanges are mainly aimed at students who will be in their second year in the next academic year, but most students will be considered.
To apply, please print out the two documents below and fill them in. You can then either email them to international@smuc.ac.uk or fax them to +44 (0) 20 8240 4255

Timetable Information (Please note this is a DRAFT timetable for 2012/13 and is subject to change due to rooming issues and specific student needs. Changes will usually concern venues rather than timings - however the 2012/13 timetable will be finalised at the beginning of semester 1.)
The credits you receive for completing the modules can contribute towards your degree from your home university. Please note that the modules listed are subject to confirmation and to the individual classes recruiting students in sufficient numbers. Also note that due to validation processes, further modules will be added up to the end of June.
Individual Course Module Guides
We recommend that you read through the descriptions of the modules below with your academic advisor at your home university. If you or your advisor require further information as to whether a module is suitable for you, we will do our best to provide a full syllabus or to put you in contact with the relevant Programme Director at St Mary's. If you have any questions regarding this, please email international@smuc.ac.uk.
Unfortunately, due to home student demand, we will be unable to offer students the opportunity to take modules from our Media Arts course. It is possible that a place on a Media Arts module may become available in early September, however we can make no guarantee of this. Please contact the International Office if you have any questions about the modules listed, or if your co-ordinator would like more information about the course.
On campus accommodation is not available to Erasmus students. Students must make their own accommodation arrangements in the local area.
Information about local flats, houseshares and lodgings can be provided by the Accommodation Officer, contactable by email at accommodation@smuc.ac.uk.
