Location

St Mary’s Strawberry Hill campus (buses 33 and R68 or overland train to Strawberry Hill) with access to the Learning Resources centre, Refectory and Students' Union facilities.

Course Content

Preparing and making effective presentations, taking part in discussions, learning styles and strategies for independent study, research skills, note taking while reading and listening, critical thinking, essay writing, referencing, avoiding plagiarism and more, combined with the opportunity to sit in on lectures, to look at past university exam papers, to talk to lecturers and to take part in campus life

This course is for you:

  • if you want to study for a UK degree in the near future
  • if you are starting a Foundation, Access, A levels, BTEC National Diploma
    or upper-intermediate English language course in September 2008
  • if your level of English is equivalent to at least IELTS level 5

Successful Completion

• 30 transferable university credits in total; or 10 for each successfully completed module
• Guaranteed admission to St Mary’s undergraduate degrees (together with your other relevant qualifications)
• Certificate

£300 for full course; £100 per module
