A book, 'New Religious Movements in the
Catholic Church', edited by Father Michael Hayes, Vice-Principal of St
Mary's College, Twickenham, has just been published.
The book is based on a series of ground-breaking lectures given at St
Mary's two years ago.
The book looks at evangelization in the Catholic Church from the perspective
of Ecclesial Movements. Included in the series of lectures are details
of the founders and members of these worldwide movements.
The book outlines key historical developments and as well as offering
a cultural and theological reflection on the Church and Christian life
today through the particular perspective of the spirituality of selected
movements.
Dr Arthur Naylor, Principal of St Mary's College, said, 'I would like
to thank Michael Hayes for his vision, energy and expertise in planning
this second series of lectures.
He added: "He did well to bring to St Mary's the founders and those with
close links to the foundation of ecclesial movements to deliver these
lectures and to and carry the project forward so quickly into print.'
