Andy Sutch is a highly respected figure in British sport. His achievements in the London area include the establishment and leadership of the regional sports council, the protection of some of London's playing fields, the promotion of local sports organisations and contributing to the development of a sustainable format for the London Youth Games.
He contributed to the emergence of Lottery funding in sport and oversaw the investment of more than £100 million in London's sport. He has also done an enormous amount for sport in the Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.
Andy's contributions to national sport include the modernisation of the RFU and RFUW. He acts as advisor to bodies including the Sports Aid foundation and the Government Sports Sponsorship Service. Most recently he was a member of London's bid to stage the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Andy advised St Mary's on two Lottery bids, the second of which was successful - helping to build the running track, refurbish the changing rooms and bring the English Institute of Sport to the campus. He now has an active retirement working in the sport and leisure industry.
