Dare 2 Care Concert to be Held

St Mary's University College, Twickenham, is hosting the Dare 2 Care Concert on Friday 13th March from 7.00pm in the Student's Union Hall.

Hosted by former test cricketer and musician Henry Olonga, the event will feature entertainment from a wide range of popular musicians including the award winning singer Kele le Roc, Tracey Campbell and the 606 Gospel Choir, Ambika Jois and Jorge Ramirez Pozo, a former X Factor contestant.

The concert is in aid of Mustard Seed Communities and Ndoro Children's Charities who have bases in Zimbabwe. The mission of Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) Zimbabwe is to "look after as many children as possible". The charity is fulfilling this through residential care to orphans, medical care, schooling as well as food and nutritional programmes. They are currently building a clinic in Bulawayo, the second capital city of Zimbabwe. Two trustees of MSC, Leonora Paasche and Lucy Anatsui, both final year students at St Mary’s University College, are co-organisers of the event.

Ndoro Children's Charities (NCC) endeavours to change the lives of children through education, good health and social welfare. The founder Roseline Ndoro, a current MA in Charity Management student at St Mary’s University College visited Zimbabwe in 2005 and 2007. She is keen to make a difference by helping deprived children gain a basic education.  They are currently raising funds for Zororo Leadership Academy, a school and a home for orphans in Zimbabwe.

Leonora Paasche, co-organiser of Dare 2 Care Concert  said, “In the light of the depraved climate in Zimbabwe, this will be an evening in which we celebrate the power of hope.”

Tickets for the concert are £5 and can be reserved by emailing  dare2careconcert@live.co.uk or text 07908513762 or 07957939745.
