New London based theatre company, Idle Hands Productions, opens The Amicable Solution on May 13th at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
Originating from St Mary’s University College, Twickenham this young enterprise focuses on new writing and comedy, the team consisting of in-house writer, Thomas Willshire and director, Gemma Colclough.
Thomas Willshire is currently a member of the Royal Court Young Writer’s programme, and has had two plays performed in the last twelve months at some of London’s leading fringe venues including the Battersea Arts Centre and The Etcetera Theatre.
Director Gemma Colclough graduated last year from St Mary’s with an MA in Theatre Directing and has already built up a varied and impressive CV, including 'The Dreamers of Inishdara' at the Jermyn Street Theatre and ‘Henry VI, part one’ at The Rose, Southbank.
The company is building up a head of steam and are delighted to have been accepted at the ‘Smirnoff Underbelly’ in a prime time slot for this years Edinburgh festival.

This comedy drama will be performed as part of the ‘Fresh Ideas’ season at the New Wimbledon Studio, before heading up to Edinburgh for this year’s festival.
