Major Education Conference Starts With Leadership

The 2009 Aquinas Conference opens at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham on Tuesday 16th June with a lecture presented by Professor John West-Burnham entitled The Architecture of Leadership.

The conference will be attended by representatives of church dioceses, local authorities and schools, as well as staff from the University College.

Professor West-Burnham, Professor of Educational Leadership, is renowned throughout the world for his expertise in the field. He is widely published.

The following day, (Wednesday 17th June) Professors Paul Clarke and John West-Burnham and Dr Peter Tyler will lead seminars for school teachers and staff from the University College on sustainable education, leadership and reflection, and meditation.

The conference will end with Professor Paul Clarke’s lecture A Practical Guide to Radical Transition: Framing a Sustainable Learning Community, aimed at teachers studying for an MA in Education.
