Irish Studies Students Presented with Awards at Embassy

Four first year Irish Studies students at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham will receive silver 'fainne' pin badges at a ceremony at the Irish Embassy in London on Friday 19 June in recognition of their achievement in learning the Irish language this academic year.

The Irish Language component of the Irish Studies degree at St Mary’s University College is funded by the Irish Government’s Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

The course has been so successful that a second class has been organised.

Both classes are open to members of the local community as well as Irish Studies students.
