St Mary’s University College, Twickenham, has experienced a record level of applications for undergraduate courses starting in 2009.
This, combined with the government imposed limit on student intakes, has combined to ensure that for many courses, applicants not meeting their grade offers have not been offered places. This is especially the case for Initial Teacher Training courses.
The University College will offer applicants the chance to apply for twelve programmes through Clearing.
Each programme on offer has only to fill between two and six places before being withdrawn from Clearing. It is therefore anticipated that competition for these places will be very high.
St Mary’s will be admitting around 1,050 student to undergraduate degree courses and around 135 students to foundation degree courses this September.
