The annual MA in Education Autumn Conference was held on Saturday 10th October 2009 in the Manning Building, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham. The conference was entitled Practitioner Research - A Path to Empowerment and School Improvement.
The Conference celebrates the coming together of students, teacher practitioners and tutors from a range of educational backgrounds. The conference is an integral part of the MA programme and offers an important opportunity for students to learn in the company of others, and share experiences within a culture of inquiry and scholarship.
Students present a wide range of research interests and a significant amount of professional expertise, drawn from different educational contexts. The Keynote address was given by Professor Dame Pat Collarbone: Creating Tomorrow: The critical importance of leadership. It offered a vision for the future in which leaders of learning can all share.
