Student Volunteering Encouraged

St Mary’s University College, Twickenham welcomed the Big V Bus on campus last week as part of an initiative to encourage student volunteering.  The bus is driven by vinspired.com and was invited onto campus by the St Mary’s Careers Service. 

The bus has been travelling around the UK this year with the objective of helping young people to find volunteering opportunities that could help shape their future and their community using a range of multimedia tools and intelligence software.

Magdalen Attwater, Head of the Careers Service at St Mary’s University College said, "We hope that the visit from the Big V Bus will be the catalyst for a heightened awareness on campus of the importance of volunteering whilst studying in order to both develop transferable work skills and reach out to the community."
