Charity Holds Christmas Bazaar

On Tuesday November 17th Strawberry Hill Overseas and Community Concern (SHOCC) will be holding its annual Christmas Bazaar in the refectory at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham.

SHOCC is the registered charity based at the University College. Over the past 38 years, the charity has raised over £300,000 for more than 150 local and global projects.

The bazaar takes place from 11.00am – 2.30pm and will include the sale of Christmas cards, cakes, jewellery and other items. The proceeds from this event will go to supporting projects in the local community and overseas.

SHOCC is currently supporting schools in Tanzania and Ghana, an HIV/AIDS hospice in Guatemala, an orphanage in the Philippines and more locally, the Shooting Stars Trust and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The charity also provides graduates with advice about volunteering placements overseas.
