Michael Prior Memorial Lecture Announced

The Michael Prior Memorial Lecture is to be held on the evening of Wednesday 26th May at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham and given by Professor Jacqueline Rose, Professor of English at Queen Mary, University of London.

She is a regular broadcaster and the author of The Question of Zion (2005) and The Last Resistance (2007). The lecture is entitled ‘Endgame: Beckett and Genet in the Middle East’.

The lecture will be introduced by Dr Anthony Towey, on behalf of the School of Theology, Philosophy, and History at St Mary’s and Dr Duncan Macpherson, on behalf of Living Stones.

Professor Michael Prior (1942–2004) was a Vincentian priest, a liberation theologian, Professor of Theology and the Bible at St Mary’s and the founder of Living Stones for the Holy Land Trust, an ecumenical trust seeking to promote contacts between Christian communities in Britain and those in the Holy Land and the Middle East.
