Student Success in World Championships

Undergraduates from St Mary’s University College, Twickenham achieved success at the World University Cross Country Championships this month.

The Bi-annual event held in Kingston, Canada saw the Women’s Team GB pick up first place in the Women’s 5K event, with St Mary’s undergraduates Jess Sparke and Joanne Harvey collecting 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

The Men’s 10K event saw Team GB pick up 3rd place behind Spain and Japan with St Mary’s undergraduates Ben Lindsay earning 17th place and Mitch Goose earning 21st place individually.
