Sport Rehabilitation undergraduates from St Mary’s University College, Twickenham spent four hours volunteering at the Playtex Moonwalk in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday 15th May. The students used sports massage techniques to prepare the walkers for the 26 mile night walk ahead.
The Playtex Moonwalk is an annual power walking event to raise money for Breast Cancer. As well as the Playtex Moonwalk in Hyde Park, London, events take place nationwide each year in order to raise money.
The St Mary’s students gave leg, shoulder and back massages from 8pm until 12am to over 400 fundraisers. Sport Rehabilitation lecturer Sam McGill said: "The students worked tirelessly with no break. They were wonderful and worked so hard. I was very proud of them!"
