Students from St Mary’s University College, Twickenham graduated at Westminster Cathedral on Wednesday 14th July.
Three different ceremonies were held on the day attended by students, guests and St Mary’s staff. Students were awarded with BA, BSc, and Foundation degrees over the course of the day.
St Mary's Principal Dr Naylor said: “This is a very special day in our 160-year history as we award degrees in our own name at Westminster Cathedral using the powers we were granted by the Privy Council in 2006. Congratulations to all graduates.”
Bishop George Stack, Chair of Governors, conferred the degrees and presided over the ceremonies.
Graduating St Mary’s student and incoming Students' Union President Siobhan Bellot said: “After three years of study at St Mary's I have discovered that if you can imagine what you want, you can achieve it. Our graduation day is not to be seen as the end, it is the beginning and St Mary's has prepared us all for what lays ahead.”
