Vince Cable MP being interviewed on SMUC Radio

SMUC Radio Nominated for Award

SMUC Radio, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham's student run radio station, has been shortlisted for an award at the Student Radio Awards 2010.

The ceremony will take place next week (Thursday 11th November) at the IndigO2 at the O2 arena, hosted by Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton.

St Mary’s Student Union Media, Marketing and Communications Administrator Dave Hayes and Deputy-Station Manager Tarik Habte have made it to a final shortlist of six nominees in the category ‘Best Interview’ for their interview with Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament and Business Secretary, Dr Vince Cable MP.

Dave Hayes said of the nomination, "We're so happy to have been nominated for this award, especially considering how young SMUC Radio is. We've come a long way in such a short time, and with such talented people like Tarik Habte involved with the station, the future looks bright. We're very much looking forward to the awards ceremony on November 11th."
