The Learning Experience

St Mary's University ’s postgraduate courses offer a learning experience of the highest quality that will further enhance your life skills as well as advancing your knowledge in your chosen field.

Investment and new buildings mean our teaching and learning facilities are excellent. Innovative and varied teaching and learning methods are employed to provide challenging and stimulating courses for your postgraduate studies.

Research

St Mary’s has a strong and well established research culture with a number of our staff achieving national and international excellence in the 2008 RAE. Staff research firmly underpins all of our postgraduate courses and students who wish to undertake a research degree will be supported by experts in their field.

Support

Supporting students is core to St Mary’s mission with student support consistently being rated as excellent by the QAA. We pride ourselves not only on the academic support we provide but also on our pastoral and social support, taking into account the unique needs of postgraduate course students who have to balance their study with other commitments.

We will help you in achieving your goals by offering a flexible approach to your study where possible. Supervisors to research degree students are readily available to guide you through your programme of research.

Greater London Location

Whether you are studying full or part time, St Mary’s location is hard to beat and transport routes are excellent. We are situated in a leafy suburb just a few minutes away from the River Thames.

With Teddington and Twickenham within walking distance and the towns of Kingston and Richmond just a short bus ride away, you will find a huge range of entertainment, shops, cafés and restaurants. For fresh air, nearby Richmond Park and Bushy Park have hundreds of acres of beautiful, secluded woodland.
