Why this course is different
This was the first MA in Sports Journalism in the UK to be professionally accredited by the NCTJ. Our course is recommended by the editor of Sky Sports News and other leading professionals in the industry. We train you in collaboration with our partners, News Associates, a sports news agency, based in Wimbledon. With our contacts in the media, this offers our students a unique training experience.
What our students say
“I chose this course because it was accredited by the NCTJ. The training was first class and the contacts we made were fantastic. The highlight for me was our tour of Sky Sports News and the Master Class with its editor, Andy Cairns.”
Leigh Walsh, TennisHead magazine
"I got so many work experience opportunities during my time in London. The course helped me secure my current contract and has made me a stronger reporter."
Marina Izidro, SporTV, Brazil
“I wouldn’t be working for the BBC today, if it was not for the MA in Sports Journalism.”
Hugh Woozencroft, BBC Radio 5 Live
"The Masters was a great course which gave me all the tools I needed to gain employment, as I now work at IMG Media helping to produce ESPN's football coverage. The best things about the course are the breadth of skills you learn, all taught by knowledgeable tutors. I would definitely recommend the course if you love sport, have a passion for journalism and want to learn the skills needed to get into the sports media industry."
