MA in Charity Management
Postgraduate Diploma in Charity Management
Postgraduate Certificate in Charity Management
Start Month: September 2012
Mode of Study: Both full and part-time
Length of Course: Full-time 1 year and Part-time 2 years
This postgraduate course has been specially designed for people working in the charity sector who would like to either formalize their education, learn and develop the latest management skills and/or enhance their career opportunities.
The demands made by the Charities Act 2007, Charities Regulation Bill 2005, the Trustee Act 2000, and other relevant legislation, has led to a need for charity employers and anyone else seeking to be employed in the sector, to be equipped with a range of skills.
These include a knowledge and understanding of Charity Management, Charity Governance , Marketing and Fundraising, Strategic Management, HRM and Research. The Programme starts every September, although in January an intake is possible for students with a financial background.
This programme, which has different exit points, addresses this need. A strong and distinctive feature of the programme is the ethical and moral reflections which are embedded in each of the modules.
