An innovative two year part-time programme that could include a group of teachers working together in your institution and taught by St Mary’s tutors, this MA is suitable for teachers at the beginning of their careers or at an advanced stage of professional experience.
This MA programme offers an opportunity for teachers to acquire knowledge and skills in research enquiry and project management for the purposes of leadership in teaching and learning and bringing about transformative change in practice.
A combination of key features makes this a unique modular programme:
- Interactive and insightful twilight teaching sessions delivered at your school - 20 per year during term time, normally from 4pm-6pm
- Three keynote lectures per year held at St Mary’s, delivered by a national/ international leader in their field
- Self-directed research based on your school development needs and your own areas of interest
- An Autumn Research Conference at St Mary’s University College offering you the opportunity to present your own research work
- MA award based on a 12,000 word academic paper and conference presentation
