  • For further information please call Programme Director Dr Daragh Minogue on 020 8240 4111 or email journalism@smuc.ac.uk
  • Still can't find the information you're looking for? Then why not ask a question on our Facebook page? With nearly 6,000 current and former students and staff on there, chances are someone can tell you what you need to know.

Interview Process:

We will confirm receipt of your application usually within 7-10 days.

The candidate selection process begins with a short telephone interview. At this stage, some applicants will be invited to attend an interview on campus. This includes a 90 minute entrance test that assesses your knowledge and understanding of sports news, current affairs as well as your writing and editing skills. International applicants can be interviewed by Skype and take the entrance test online.

After the interview we give you a decision within 48 hours. There are three main outcomes: unconditional offer of a place on the course, conditional offer of a place and no offer. If you are offered a place on the course, we will ask you to secure it with a non-refundable deposit of £500.

If you have any further questions about the interview process, please call Dr Daragh Minogue on 020 8240 4111 or 07958 062 597
