All prospective undergraduate students who have made St Mary’s their firm choice for the new academic year will automatically be sent an accommodation information pack and booking form by post from mid-May.
Please note: If you require accommodation in halls of residence for September you are advised to complete the booking form and return this immediately. Accommodation is allocated on a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed.
On my UCAS form I stated that I would be living at home but I now wish to live in halls. Will I receive a booking form?
Yes, all students who have made St Mary’s a firm choice will receive a booking form.
If I have made St Mary’s my Insurance choice can I still apply for accommodation?
You will be sent a booking form once St Mary’s becomes your firm choice, however it is highly unlikely that you will be offered accommodation before the start of the academic year. If you return your booking form you will be placed on the waiting list and will be contacted if a room becomes available.
When will I hear whether I have been allocated a room?
We aim to allocate accommodation from June onwards. Students allocated accommodation will receive an offer of accommodation by post (together with two copies of the contract) by late June or early July.
One copy must be signed and returned to St Mary’s and the second copy is for you to keep for your records. If we are unable to offer you accommodation at this stage, your name will be placed on the waiting list. A number of rooms may become available in August, after the publication of the A level results. We will offer any rooms that become available to students on the waiting list.
Will you contact me if you are not able to offer me a room in halls?
We aim to contact all the students on the waiting list before the end of August and will give advice on finding alternative accommodation. Where possible, some students may be asked to travel/commute to College initially until we can hopefully be in a position to offer a room. This will be dependent on rooms in halls becoming available.
