Facilities and Amenities

Students’ Union
The Students’ Union building has a fully licensed bar with screens for viewing sporting events. There are a number of regular events, i.e. discos etc. The main events are always the Freshers’ Ball, Christmas and Summer Balls.

Dolche Vita Café
There is an on site café available for a variety of drinks and snacks.

Vending Machines
There are soft drink vending machines in both reception areas of De Marillac Hall, and both snack (chocolates, sweets and crisps) and soft drink vending machines in the Shannon Corridor adjacent to the refectory.

Shops
It is a five minute walk to the shops, chemists and Sub-Post Office in Tower Road. There are a few other local shops on Waldegrave Road, and larger shops and supermarkets in Twickenham or Teddington are a 15 minute walk away.

Transport
Strawberry Hill station to London Waterloo is about a 30 minute journey. Buses to Teddington, Twickenham and Richmond pass the University College. Student discount cards are available from the Students’ Union once students are registered with St Mary's.

Leisure Facilities
There are a number of local gyms in the area and a public swimming pool in Teddington.

Bars and Restaurants
There are many local bars, restaurants/ cafés and fast food outlets within walking distance.
