Refectory and Meal Plans

All room prices include 14 meals per week during term time only, which are taken as seven evening meals, five breakfasts and brunch at the weekend. The University College reserves the right to substitute the evening meal for a meal to be taken at lunchtime (e.g. Bank Holidays, Christmas and Summer Ball dates, etc).

Meals are taken in the University College Refectory (take a virtual tour here) – commonly called 'the ref' by students – during the allocated timeslots. The ref has an extensive menu to suit a variety of needs, and a point system used to calculate the amount of food you can take. More information can be found on the SimmSpace intranet or in the Residents' Handbook.

Utility kitchens in halls are equipped with toasters, kettles, fridges and microwaves. Open stove cooking is not permitted in halls.
