PGCE Training Bursary 2010/11

The Government has announced that the training bursaries offered to trainees at St Mary’s University College from September 2011 will be:

Maths, Physics & Chemistry	£9,000 bursary
Biology & Modern Foreign Languages	£6,000 bursary

How Do I Apply?

You do not need to make a separate application.

Payment is made automatically to registered UK & EU students.

How Is It Paid?

Payment of the bursary is paid by BACS directly into your UK bank account, in 9 equal instalments from October to June.

I Don't Have A UK Bank Account, How Do I Open One?

After you register, you can complete a Request for Letter of Introduction Form and return this to Student Services. You will be issued with an Introduction Letter which you will need to take to your designated bank, together with your passport or a certified copy of your passport.

There are a number of banks in Twickenham and Teddington, including Barclays, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and NatWest.
