Student Radio Station – SMUC Radio
St Mary’s Students' Union has its very own radio station, SMUC Radio, which broadcasts online and on FM seven days a week from 8.30am to 9.30pm during term time.
SMUC Radio is a presenter-led station that offers a wide range of content, including music, news and current affairs, sport, weather, discussion and prize giveaways. Popular shows include the Breakfast Show, the Current Affairs Programme and the Good Ol' JR Show.
The station has welcomed a diverse range of guests and interviewees, including Josh Hartnett, Lily Allen, Aisylene Horgan-Wallace, Dame Judi Dench, Goldie Lookin' Chain, David Lammy MP, Irish Ambassador Bobby McDonagh, Dr Vince Cable MP and Brian Paddick, Liberal Democrat Mayoral Candidate.
As a student you can get involved with SMUC Radio in a number of different roles, including interviewing, presenting, producing, scheduling, researching, marketing and advertising sales. Or you can just listen online.
