This hands on degree introduces students to a range of contexts through which theatre is made whilst also encouraging independent creative and critical thinking. A key component of the course focuses on a practical exploration of the art of the actor.

Career Opportunities
In recent years there has been a huge growth in the creative industries in the UK, particularly in the South-East. This programme equips students with a wide range of transferable and creative skills which are applicable to all professions. Past students have found employment in the theatre and media as actors, directors, designers, writers and television presenters.
Many progress to specialised postgraduate study at drama schools and universities in order to pursue a career in the arts.

Success Stories
Graduates in Drama have gone on to work in a wide range of careers. Some of these are connected directly with Drama, such as theatre companies and teaching, whilst others work in leisure, recreation, public relations and marketing.
Andy graduated in 2002 with a Single Honours Degree in Drama. He was very interested in voice work and his involvement in extra-curricular interests in radio led him to gain immediate employment in the media industry. He is now manager of Reading local radio.
Fraser graduated in 2003 with a Joint Honours in Drama and Media Arts. He now works for Models 1 London as a booker for fashion models. His drama skills gave him the confidence to develop public relations aspects to his part time work, which helped him impress Models 1.
Mark graduated in 2003 with a Single Honours degree in Drama and was snapped up by a professional dance company. He now spends his time dancing and doing youth work.
Alec graduated in 2005 and was accepted onto a postgraduate course in Classical acting at Central School of Speech and Drama.
