Sport Rehabilitation

A modern programme that provides skills and knowledge for the management of musculoskeletal injury, progressing on to health and fitness training programmes.

Key Facts

  • Qualifies students to become a member of the ‘British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers’ (BASRaT) and to work in this new and developing field
  • You will, by the end of the programme, acquire a wide range of professional skills for use in the medical/fitness field
  • St Mary’s began the first Sport Rehabilitation programme in the UK in 1994
  • Available as a Single Honours Programme

Entry Requirements

  • Biology, Human Biology or PE at a minimum of grade B and a sport/science related subject at a minimum of grade C.
  • GCSE Biology/Science or Mathematics.
  • A distinction in a Sports Therapy Diploma (two year course) or Access (with Level 3 Science credits) providing the course is sufficient in terms of depth of Human Physiology and Anatomy.
  • Students offering BTEC and OCR National Certificates and Diplomas will be required to attend an interview.
