Education Liaison Team

We are responsible for all general school liaison and UK student recruitment activity, as well as all widening participation and access initiatives. For more details of our activities, see the schools and colleges liasion, widening participation and open events pages.

For academic visits, taster days or general talks for students in Year 12 and above, please contact Rachel Trippitt or Francesca Browning. For awareness and aspiration-raising days, taster days and student life sessions for students attending schools which are part of an Aimhigher partnership, please contact Alasdair Robertson.

Teresa Kelly (Marketing Manager – UK Recruitment and Widening Participation)
Teresa has overall strategic responsibility for the work of the team in its UK recruitment/school liaison and widening participation capacities.

Rachel Trippitt (Senior Recruitment Officer)
Rachel is responsible for delivering talks in schools and colleges (Year 12 upwards); hosting taster days and visits to the University campus (Year 12 upwards), organising and representing the University at UCAS/HE fairs and events across the country and organises Open Days. Please contact Rachel for all general UK recruitment/school liaison activity.

Francesca Browning (Recruitment Officer)
Francesca works with Rachel on our Open Days, talks, campus visits and represents us at UCAS Fairs and events in schools and colleges. She also takes responsibility for the Student Ambassador Scheme. Please contact Francesca if you are a current student and would like to become a student ambassador or if you would like to use our student ambassadors for an event.

Alasdair Robertson (Recruitment Officer – Widening Participation)
Alasdair is responsible for all the widening participation activities at St Mary’s. He works with students from years 8-11 ( 14 to 16 year olds) from targeted schools and colleges. Please contact Alasdair for more information or to book an activity.
