St Mary’s Alumni Raise £1,600 for Local Charity

Alumni, staff, students and guests at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham raised £1,645 for charity at a Students’ Union fundraising event which took place at the weekend. More than 80 people attended The Big Simmies Reunion, which was held in the Students’ Union Hall. The evening was organised in aid of Enabling Evie, a charity for a former St Mary’s student and her family. Along with raising money, the evening gave alumni the opportunity to catch up with old friends and lecturers whilst enjoying live music from local alumni band The Basis and DJ Sid Trotter. There was also a raffle with prizes including a health and fitness experience at SP&Co Chelsea, VIP Bath rugby tickets, Harlequins rugby gear, manicures donated by Gemma at Pretty and Perfect, dinner at 64^th Cocktail Bar and Grill  in Clapham along with contributions from Mars and Soap and Glory. The event was generously supported by staff and local community, including St Mary’s Housekeeping department which held a collection for the cause.
