Biography
Ann worked as a dietitian in the National Health Service before specialising in the field of sports nutrition. Before joining the staff at St Mary's in 2003, she held lecturing posts at London Metropolitan University and London's South Bank University.
Ann has provided sports nutrition consultancy to a number of Great Britain's Olympic and Paralymic squads including The British Equestrian Teams, British Swimming, GB and England Badminton squads, England Netball Association etc.
She has for many years played an active role in the Nutrition Society and more recently with the Association for Nutrition. She was an Executive Director, and Cabinet Member for Governance and Honorary Secretary to the Association for Nutrition during its formative years and is a member of the course accreditation committee and Vice Chair of the Registration Committee of the AfN.
Ann was a Local Education Authority Governor for a primary school in Berkshire for 8 years and during that time she was involved in the development and implementation of an in house catering service at this school as part of the healthy schools agenda.
